Charity Status Update – 16/02/2026
Cornwall Advanced Drivers (CAD) are delighted to announce a significant milestone:-
CAD’s work to promote road safety, improve drivers’ knowledge, skills and awareness, thus reduce road collisions through better standards of driving, has been acknowledged by the Charity Commission, who have now granted full Charitable Status to the group; Charity number 1216752.
Charity status in the UK offers significant advantages, including tax relief, enhanced fundraising opportunities, Gift Aid and increased public trust.
The application process has involved significant effort from the group’s committee members over the last year and my thanks goes to them all for a great team effort on moving CAD forward
